Torani Syrups Help Make Holidays Even Better!

I was one of the lucky SheSpeaks members to get two free bottles of Torani syrup to review. I received a package that contained a bottle of Torani Sugar Free Salted Caramel and Torani Regular Gingerbread Syrups. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors that I was sent. These two both sounded very appealing to me. I like to compare things that are regular and sugar free due to my family members that are diabetic. I like to keep a variety of products that everyone in the household can use. Torani offers over 120 syrups including many that are available in the Sugar Free variety.

I absolutely love to try to things in my coffee, So of course I used both of these syrups as an additive to my coffee. I like both regular coffee and iced coffee. The first flavor I used was the Sugar Free Salted Caramel. I made a Skinny Salted Caramel Iced Coffee from a recipe that I found on Torani's website. Here is the recipe.

Skinny Salted Caramel Iced Coffee
2 TBS of Torani Salted Caramel Syrup
1 Cup of Nonfat Milk
2 Shots of Chilled Espresso or 1/2 Cup of Strong Brewed Coffee

Pour the ingredients over ice and stir.

This is such a simple recipe and the taste is absolutely exquisite. I fell in love with it!

Next I tried the Torani Gingerbread Syrup in another recipe that I found on Torani's website. Gingerbread Brewed Coffee is the recipe that I chose because I wanted to try this in hot coffee. The syrup sets the hot coffee over the top and it only has two ingredients. Here is the recipe.
Gingerbread Brewed Coffee
2 TBS of Torani Gingerbread Syrup
1 Cup of Dark Brewed Coffee

In a glass or mug add the syrup to the coffee and stir. Then add milk or cream to taste.

And again this is so easy and so tasteful. This is one that hot coffee lovers are sure to enjoy. I also love that Torani has such a variety of recipes on their site. There truly is a syrup and a recipe for everyone. I suggest you take a look at their wonderful creations and use it during this holiday season. You can add any of them to a dessert or drink and just enjoy a little something special. Here is a great recipe that I am excited to showcase at my next family dinner: Tiramisu Cheesecake.

Tiramisu Cheesecake
Cheesecake:
1/2 Cup of Torani Tiramisu Syrup
8 oz. Package of Cream Cheese, Softened
1/3 Cup of Sour Cream
2 Large Eggs
1 Prepared Graham Cracker Crust
Topping:
4 TBS of Torani Tiramisu Syrup
1/2 Cup of Sour Cream
1/2 Cup of Chilled Whipping Cream
Cocoa Powder for Dusting

Preheat your oven to 350 Degrees. Beat the cream cheese until soft. Add the Tiramisu syrup and sour cream. Mix well. Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix until smooth. Pour into the prepared pie crust and bake for 30 minutes. Transfer to a rack and cool for 10 minutes. Whisk the sour cream and 2 TBS of the Tiramisu syrup for the topping together. Spread over the cheesecake and then chill overnight. Just before you serve it dust the top with the cocoa powder. Then whip the cream to soft peaks with the other 2 TBS of Tiramisu syrup. With a pastry bag and star tip pipe the whipped cream around the edge of the cheesecake. Cut and serve.

This is a pretty simple recipe and it looks absolutely delightful. Like I said Torani has many different flavors that you can easily incorporate into anything. Have You Heard of Pink Zebra Home?

I am actually an independent sales consultant for Pink Zebra Home. I joined in them in February when a friend of mine introduced me to the opportunity. If you haven't checked them out, you really should. First of all let me tell you that this company is a little over a year old and was started by Tom & Kelly Gaines. They have been in the industry for over 20 years. They are dedicated to this company. I actually joined the business because I fell in love with a sample that my friend Jennifer Prudhom had given me. She gave me a little scent bag that had Spiced Vanilla Sprinkles in it. I was interested in joining, but this sold me. I had taken the sample it thrown it on our entertainment center. When my husband James walked in he asked me what he was smelling. He hates the smell of vanilla, but absolutely fell in love with this scent. Well after a month that little scent sample still smelled just as good as the first day I had received it. I was hooked. We got our tax return back and I paid for my kit. I've had a slower start because of family problems that happened this summer. I can tell you the consultants that I have met are awesome. I am trying to get busy and increase my business, but I can tell you that I'm not writing this to try to get you to sign up. I am writing this for the simple fact that I am in love with Pink Zebra.

Another reason I joined was their charity HEROES. They are devoted to donating day care days to single parents. This hits home for me as both of my sisters, Melissa and Shannon, are single parents. I love the fact that the applicant has to be trying to better themselves by attending school or working. It can't be someone that just sits at home drawing welfare. If that comment offends you, sorry but I am blunt. I know too many people that do this, especially in the area that I live. There's nothing wrong with asking for help, but many people can make their situation better, some just don't attempt it. But back to the subject at hand. When a consultant hosts a party and sales are $500+ Pink Zebra donates a day of day care to a single parent. Their goal is to donate one million days in the next ten years. I am trying to help with my part.

This company has a lot to offer. All the products are made in the United States. The soy is bought from local farmers in Kentucky. The manufacturing factory is in Berea, Kentucky. This is another reason why I am a PZ fan. We need to support companies in the US. It's rare to find them these days. The soy in the product not only burn longer, but they are also a lot safer for your family. Their are currently  49 scents available in their patent pending Sprinkles. I have to tell you that these are a lot easier to handle because you can pour in how much you want in a simmer pot to suit your scent preference. You can also mix and match them to make new creations. Also they are easy to change because if you place the bowl in the freezer the used wax will pop out with no effort whatsoever. You can then save it to reuse or throw it away. These scents last so long though you will probably be saving them to reuse.

Right now I am in love with the new fall scents. Pumpkin Bread and Peppermint Patty are my favorites. I also love their spa scents. There really is a scent for everyone. The company also has Reed Diffusers, Candles, Lotion and Hand Soap, and a nice variety of simmer pots. So that just covers the bases. There is so much that I could say about the company and the products, but I'm going to stop for now and post more information later. Crowdtap, a Fun Way to Earn Giftcards

I've been doing research and trying to find some ways to earn extra money and just have a little fun online. I do a lot of research and I love the sites I belong too. Today I did an internet search and stumbled onto Crowdtap. I of course joined because it is free, but I also like that they donate money to charities too. I'm Back.....

As you can tell I haven't updated my blog in a while. I'm back and ready to go now. I will be vamping up this blog with many new things. Get ready to here about deals, coupons, freebies, crafts, and many more things. Life has been busy, what more can I really say. I was working as the manager of a convenience store and worked there for two and a half year. With doing that I started to lose my identity and became a workaholic. I missed out on life. I finally got fed up and quit. So I am now working from home yet again. So I am looking into new opportunities. I have already found a few. This blog will have many fun things. Bic Soliel House Party!

I am a Bic Soliel House Party Host. I was selected by HouseParty.com a few weeks ago to host a Bic Soliel Party. My party is this Saturday, May 15th, 2010. I am combining the House party with a fish fry. This way I will be able to include the whole family and not just the women! I thought it was a great idea. I have quite a few people attending, many of whom have children. 

Some of the activities that I am having include The Compliment Game, Balloon Shaving, Volleyball, Bubbles, and Sidewalk Art. I am trying to have a variety of things that everyone can do. The Compliment Game is for the women and teenage girls. We will have to write one compliment on a card for everyone participating. It is so easy to do. I will have one envelope for each person. This envelope will have enough note cards in it for everyone to write one compliment on per person. We will sit in a circle and pass the envelopes around while writing one compliment for each person's envelope. We will pass the envelopes until everyone is done. 

The next game I am having is a balloon shaving contest for the kids. They will each have a razor and they will be shaving a balloon. Whoever shaves the most and lasts the longest will win a prize! The prize has yet to be determined.

Volleyball is for anyone who wants to play and will be an ongoing game. The bubbles and sidewalk art is for the younger kids and even the kids at heart.

Walmart Shopping Trip-May 5th

I just posted how I saved $32.00 at Walgreens. Now I am going to show you how I saved more at Walmart. There were a lot of good deals and I didn't use any of the food items, but I did partake in the beauty/personal care items.

Gillette Body Wash was on sale for $3.50. I had two coupons that were Buy 1 Get 1 Free. I bought 4 body washes, which two were free, but then I combined them with two coupons that were $4 off two Gillette body washes. This made all four that I picked up FREE!!!

Nivea Body Wash for Men was on sale for $3.97. I bought two of the Men's Body Wash and used two $3.00 off coupons. This brought the price of each down to $.97. That's still a great deal!

Nivea Body Wash for Women was on sale for $3.97 also. So I bought two of the Women's Body Wash and used two $4.00 off coupons. This made both of them absolutely FREE!!!

Gillette Shave Gel was on sale for $1.87. I picked up two and combined the sale with two $1.00 off coupons. This made them only $.87 cents.

I also bought James, my husband, a 4 pack of Gillette Fusion cartridges for $13.97. They weren't on sale and I didn't have a coupon for them. I am only mentioning this, so you can see why the total was as high as it was.

My grand total was $21.35, which as you can see it would have been around $7.00 if I hadn't bought the Fusion refill. I saved a total of $31.00 with all of my coupons!!! Anyone can do this!

Walgreens Shopping Trip-May 5th!

I saved quite a bit this past week at Walgreens. You are not going to believe how much I saved and how easy it was. All you have to do is watch for their weekly sales ad and then match up your coupons. I am going to start posting weekly match ups for various stores here.

I bought 4 packages of Bic Soliel Bella razors. These were on sale for $3.99 each. I had four $3 off coupons.  These coupons are from my House Party kit for Bic Soliel. This brings each pack of razors down to $.99 each.
I bought 2 Sure deodorants, who doesn't need deodorant this time of year! These were 2/$3 with the Walgreens coupon and then I had two $1.50 coupons off. This brings the total to FREE!!!
I bought one Pert Plus shampoo, it was just to good of a deal to pass up. It was on sale for $1.99. I had a coupon for $1.50 off. This brought it done to $.49.

I only spent $6.87 which $1.92 was tax! I saved a $2.00 with a Walgreens coupon. I also saved $14.00 with their advertised savings. And finally $16.00 with manufacturer's coupons. This comes to a total of $32.00 worth of savings!. Can you really believe I saved that much? This is what it looked like too!

A Little Venting From Me

All I can say is yesterday was a bad day. I just hope today is better. Yesterday every moron in Oklahoma came in the store it seemed like. It was just one of those days when you just want to scream. First thing that happened was I almost had someone drive off without paying for their gas. It was a misunderstanding, but luckily my helper caught them before the left. This couple was filling up their gas tank and sent in their con to pay for some water and the gas, only they didn't tell him about the gas. So he pays for the water and they weren't done pumping, so technically he couldn't pay for the gas anyway. So he gets in the car and then the mom gets in the car and doesn't even think anything of it.
Then the second dumb ass of the day was a woman who wanted to be a bitch. How do I explain this one other than she made her 10 year old daughter pump her gas because she was too lazy to get out of the car. So the girl uses a debit card at the pump, fills up, but doesn't hit the yes button to print the receipt. So she climbs in the car and the mom says, where is the receipt. She tells her oh, I didn't get one. I guess these people think they automatically print or something. So then the girl comes into the store and says I need a receipt for the gas. I tell her, I have to have the card, so I can scan it. It doesn't charge the card it just recognizes the number and prints the receipt inside the store. She goes oh and looks at me with this blank stare and then walks out. She goes back to the car and tells her mom she has to have the card. The mom starts screaming and yelling at her and pointing her finger in her face and everything. It takes her about 20 minutes before she even comes back into the store. Then the little girl tells me I just need a receipt I don't need you to charge the card. By this time I'm already aggravated at the damn mother because of the situation and now this little girl didn't listen to me in the first place. So I say it doesn't charge you anything it just recognizes the number and prints. I scanned it , it printed the receipt. Then I opened my mouth and said all your mom had to do was send in the card. I saw her yelling at you. I probably shouldn't have said it, but I was pissed off as it was. So then the girl says yes and then left. She apparently told the mother about my little comment because the bitch sits in the parking lot for another 20 minutes before she finally walks in and tells me for my information I wasn't yelling at my daughter I was instructing her on how to get a reciept from the pump. I told her that sure the hell isn't what I saw when you're yelling, and everybody can hear it and see you doing it. She said what great customer service. I told her well, maybe if you would have pumped your own damn gas you wouldn't have had a probelm with getting your receipt. Great parenting to yell at your kid for your dumb ass mistake!
The third dumb ass of the day was a guy who bought minnows from us. He came back after about 4 hours of fishing and wanted me to give him more minnnows for free and said that I didn't dish them right. I told him bullshit because after dealing with all these stupid ass people today I was so ready to fight. So I told him I'll show you how many come in a half a pound. I dish them and he goes oh, I guess you did give me the right amount. I told him, you think! He sat there and watched me dish them the first time!
I had a bad day and today better be better or when I come home, I am drinking my ass off!
